Protective gowns, lab coats and splash jackets are designed to fit over work clothing and provide an additional barrier during healthcare, laboratory, cleaning, food processing and industrial tasks. Isolation Gown, Lab Coat or Splash Jacket?

Isolation and clinical gowns provide broad upper-body coverage for hygiene-controlled environments. Polypropylene and coated polypropylene options are available, including 1200mm x 1400mm isolation gowns and 40gsm coated gowns.

Disposable lab coats suit laboratories, production areas and visitor protection. Options include one-pocket coats, 45gsm domed laboratory coats and AlphaTec lab coats in several sizes.

Polyethylene splash jackets and hooded ponchos provide lightweight coverage for wet or splash-prone tasks. Selected full-length jackets include hoods, while sleeveless aprons offer a more open design for general protection.

Which Material and Coverage Do You Need?

Polypropylene garments may suit routine contamination control and dry workplace tasks, while coated polypropylene and polyethylene products provide different barrier characteristics for splash exposure. The listed splash jackets and ponchos include 30-micron polyethylene options.

Choose the garment according to the expected hazard, required body coverage, material, size and workplace risk assessment. These garments should be used with any additional PPE required for the task, such as gloves, eye protection, masks or protective footwear.
