Buyer’s Guide to Choosing Paper Straws

Paper straws provide a practical alternative for cafés, bars, restaurants, takeaway outlets and events. Insinc’s range includes cocktail, regular, flexible, jumbo, spoon and individually wrapped paper straws in several colours and pack sizes.

Options are available in black, white, kraft, green stripe, aqua stripe and other designs, with diameters from approximately 5mm to 10mm.

Which Paper Straw Size Do You Need?

Cocktail straws around 5mm wide suit short drinks and mixed beverages. Regular 6mm straws work well for water, juice and soft drinks, while 8mm and 10mm jumbo straws provide a wider opening for thicker drinks.

Spoon straws combine a straw with a scoop-style end for desserts and specialty beverages. Check both the straw diameter and length against the cup, lid opening and drink consistency.

Wrapped, Flexible or Straight Straws?

Individually wrapped straws support hygienic self-service and takeaway use. Flexible paper straws have a bendable section for easier positioning, while straight straws offer a simple option for counter and table service.
