Do You Need a Zipper or Valve?

A resealable zipper allows customers to close the pouch again after opening, making it useful for products consumed over several servings. Non-zipper pouches generally require heat sealing or another suitable closure before sale.

Valve pouches are commonly chosen for freshly roasted coffee because the valve provides a way for gases to escape from the sealed package. Non-valve options may suit tea, snacks, ground products and other dry foods that do not require this feature.
