Buyer’s Guide to Choosing Head Protection

Head protection helps reduce the risk of injury from falling objects, overhead hazards and accidental contact in construction, forestry, maintenance and industrial workplaces. Insinc’s range includes bump caps, vented and non-vented hard hats, height-safety helmets, visor combinations and compatible accessories.

Available options include black, blue, green, white, red, orange, yellow and high-visibility colours, with ratchet, slip-lock and specialist harness configurations.

Bump Cap or Safety Helmet?

Bump caps provide lightweight protection against minor knocks in low-clearance environments. They are available with long or short peaks but should not be used as substitutes for certified hard hats where falling-object or impact hazards are present.

Mid-peak and Nexus helmets provide more substantial workplace head protection. Vented helmets may improve airflow, while non-vented models may be required in environments where openings could introduce additional hazards.

Which Helmet System Should You Choose?

Nexus CorePlus helmets provide vented options in several colours, while SecurePlus models offer a non-vented format. HeightMaster helmets are designed for applications requiring a compatible chinstrap and secure retention system.

The range also includes clear visors, forestry combinations, eyeshields, browguards, visor frames, replacement harnesses, chinstraps and sweatbands. Check that every accessory is compatible with the exact helmet model before ordering.

Choose head protection according to the workplace risk assessment, required impact protection, ventilation, retention system and compatibility with hearing or face protection. Selected reflective sticker kits are obsolete, so contact Insinc for alternatives.
