Buyer’s Guide to Choosing Coated Safety Gloves

Coated gloves combine a fabric liner with a nitrile, latex, PVC or neoprene coating to provide grip, durability and task-specific hand protection. Insinc’s range includes palm-dipped, half-dipped, three-quarter-dipped and fully dipped gloves for warehouse handling, maintenance, construction and industrial work.

Available options include ProSense, Paramount, Bastion, Esko and Ansell gloves in sizes from 7 to 11, with selected specialist styles extending to 2XL.

Palm-Dipped or Fully Dipped Gloves?

Palm-dipped gloves leave more of the back of the hand uncovered, which may suit dry handling tasks where flexibility and airflow are important. ProSense MaxiPro dotted palm-dip gloves and Diamond Grip latex-coated gloves provide options for general gripping and material handling.

Half- and three-quarter-dipped TOUCHLINE gloves provide progressively more coating around the hand while retaining a flexible spandex liner. Selected versions include foam coatings and micro-dots for additional grip.

Fully dipped nitrile and PVC gloves provide more extensive surface coverage for selected wet, oily or dirty tasks. Options include safety cuffs, knitted wrists and jersey cotton liners.

Choosing Gloves for Specialist Hazards

The range also includes specialist Ansell gloves described for electrical and cut resistance, chemical handling, heat and cold exposure, and high-visibility cut protection. These ratings are not interchangeable, so buyers should check the exact product specification and required workplace standard.

Select gloves according to the task, coating material, coverage, grip, cuff style and correct size. Check chemical compatibility, cut rating and electrical or thermal requirements before use, and replace gloves when the coating is cracked, punctured or heavily worn.
